Yeah the barrel situation is rough as hell. What makes things worse is some of us are running barrel jackin bots.

Should give the barrel piles of three the ability to be used as barrels aswell.

Or maybe just implement a p2p trade space.
I'm not suggesting a "secure trade", I like the fact that you have to risk losing your stuff when you trade with someone, it means reputations are worth something.
What I am suggesting is a flower menu item on a person (Trade) that would open a "virtual barrel" if the person agrees. Once both parties close the window/walk away/teleport anything left in the barrel drops to the floor.

Edit: Drops to the floor where the last person was standing.
