Hello everyone. I tried this game out right before the big purity nerf. Had just started making a decent living, farms,Biles in the 90range when purity patch hit. I Struggled along for a while. My wife stopped playing immediately after we noticed how far ahead other players were. (We played jamestown). After a while the new system came out with food ingredients mattering. Game looked slightly better. With the small amount of players willing to even trade (cuz after a while noone really needs anything they can make or get themselves). And the time id have to spend to be even comparatively competitive in this game was mind boggling. I quit.

I came back after hearing that there was a reset and a reworked gluttony system. Only to find the new gluttony system & the inspirational system was Non casual friendly. Unless i spent more time in salem than my little sister spends on facebook itd be worse than it was before the reset. Obviously i quit again.

How much did you actually play and try to understand the changes?

I feel like new system is more casual friendly, requires less time logged in to develop character. especially once you get biles up and switch to higher tier foods, progression is almost completely offline.

I guess leveling multiple characters is the new way to non-casually play the game.

Yup I feel the new system is more casual friendly than before. My wife and I came back to Salem after quitting for over a year.

We did not play at all yesterday. Didn't even log on. But we got on today and used up all our inspiration that we had saved up by not playing the day before. In so doing we were basically equal with those who had spent all the previous day playing, at least skills wise. We weren't as far behind on gluttony as we could have been either, since those who played that day spent at least a good portion of it with the full and fed up debuff.

Overall I like the changes. My wife and I will probably stick around a while.
