If you claim a mine entrance, is the inside claimed too? Or do you have to put up a seperate claim?

Separate claim I'm guessing, since the mine is a different map.

Test it with a friend, build 1 claim at entrance and let him inside then turn trespassing off and make sure he's not in your party.

Mines work like houses right now. If the mine is on the claim, it's all claimed. I think you'd get the "game ate my silver" bug if you tried to put a claim up inside (if even allowed to start one).

So having just a mine entrance above ground and building a giant base underground is a good idea?
(no paying for extending the claim and a pretty safe location unless people make a habit of searching mines)

But still, you could build a huge amount of walls and easily protect the mine since it's such a small area compared to the resources needed to build multiple walls for large claims.
There's also the huge amount of time saved not having to flatten the area (this is where most of my time goes).

(Sorry if this is going off topic, but it is mine related)
