BETA NDA was released recently... can say whatever, whenever about the game.

Fact is if you aren't interested- move back and troll the dedicated Salem threads. Nobody will miss you here.

You might might miss me in Salem; but that's your problem. :)

I'll definitely be around until TES goes live; assuming Jorb actually wipes the servers in the next 6 weeks. I'm given up hoping it will be prompt. I gave into temptation and pre-purchased the game; so I won't be building any 'towns' in Salem after it relaunches. I'll check in every so often to see the 'mood' of the community. Nor more after TES early launch. I have a hard time seeing TES fail outright based on last Beta event. A far cry from Salem's version of a Beta.

(Oh, but then TES is not a 2 man dev team working on their own schedule- producing when they 'feel' like it.)

Been warning Jorb and Loftar for months that the 'gold mine' that is Salem will be a copper mine or worthless the longer they sit on it. TES online is just the first tease to pull players away among the many to come.

Hate to admit it- but I got **** load of housework done today that I've been putting off while playing Salem up to this point. I hate housework.. .but I hate trolling forums even more... at least continuously.

Now I get to split my time among game forum's :P

cheers

Hmmm... close- got a pic with a 5th of Rum, straight up?

Then it'd be semi- accurate!

I treid to play it with a mate when I was 1 level above him and we couldnt. Bascially every area/quest you complete is cleared in your game world so if you are with a mate (and they havent done something you have) they literally dissappear from the game world. You can see where they are on the map and watch them die n everything but cannot help in anyway. Good job there

As far as I can remember, Blizzard did, with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. That was the first time I'd seen this **** in a game.

As far as I know, Blizzard sometime between WotLK and Cataclysm. The last zone in Northrend works like that. I don't know of anyone else doing this in an MMO prior to this. While you get to see the world change around you as you progress in quests, as uncleseano points out, it screws with group dynamics. I know of many quests in LK I couldn't complete at level several months after they were released because nobody was doing them and guildmates were finished or farther along and couldn't help. It ended up holding true through Cataclysm and Pandaria, too. :(
