No you can't kill titan because he can run longer than 5 people with lower biles.

I think that's more of a combat mechanics issue.
Maybe having muskets slow down enemies fix this?
In any case, you can still try ambushing him.

I don't think a bile cap would help. There is always going to be inequality due to someone else who has more time to play or has a greater number of trusted friends.

I think it would increase the fun of the game to incorporate ways for characters of lower biles to have a greater chance of survival and avoiding raids if they invest the time into it and put some strategy into it. Traps, camo, backtracking, stealth, hiding, hideouts.

I know I have always felt that in terms of mmo games that you get out of them what you put into them. an example would be a high end raid guild on WoW. they put more into the game and rewarded with better items and farther progression. That being said the rewards they get due to the time they invest do not have such a negative impact on the rest of the player base.

I will use chief as an example since I don't think he will get very butthurt over this being a simple discussion. I think we can all agree he has put a lot of time and effort into salem. As a reward for that effort he is among the elite players in the game.

The question is should that allow him to dictate the game play experience of everyone on the server?

I think with the current system the answer is yes. However is this in the best interest of salem and the salem community?

When was the last time one of the so called titians had a sense of fear to walk outside of their base from the non titian community?

I strongly feel it should be up to the community to be its own guardian. The current system will not allow that to happen. A player with 600 biles would still dominant 6 100 bile players. High biles are only part of this problem. The argument has been made that if players would ban together they could kill even a titian player. The problem is of the group of players it would take to kill a titian player are you willing to be the one who also dies to make it happen.

Due to Perma death the answer is more often then not no. like a movie where a guy is clearly out numbered and he says you can kill me but not before I kill you.

Ultima Online struggled with this very same issue. The solution they came up with was to split the world in two. A pvp side and a non pvp side. In the end I feel it fragmented the community and game lost a lot of what made it such a great game.

It good to see so many opinions on this and to see some of the other thoughts and ideas it raised. good stuff salem community.

a player with 600 biles + endgame will most likey lose to 2 char with 200 biles + end game gear if the are good at pvp. The only problem is that the player with 600 biles can run away

But any player can achieve same biles as the opposing one post wipe, so that's not a real problem anymore.

You can achieve same biles if you spend same time from start of the server in game and you won't get raided and killed!

Getting biles higher was purity and gluttony race after every new server that has started so far, it is very stupid design.
Without cap or any other solution this game is only for few people that are going to spend most time in-game and most people will got raided, killed, quit and wait for new server or wipe. Single server and larger map will only cause to have few months of fun more for no-lifes, but not for medicore groups.

So now you are again saying that if I spent two times more time on the game and killed you it would be unfair?

What are talking about?

I've said that race for higher biles means you have to play more and if you do we got same problem that we all know.

If you get twice stronger because you was in-game twice more it can give you advantage over other people, but that is good you earned it.
Problem in salem is how this advantage occures!

If you spend more time online and your base is harder (but not impossible) to raid it is fine, and that it should work.
But if your reward for longer time in-game takes away other people fun and makes them unable to kill you, while you can kill them and destroy their bases there is something wrong with this design. Don't you think?

Groups of no-lifes wins and common players can't even get close to their town because they will never defend waste claim long enough to start bashing their walls!?!?
And even if they do then no-lifes spammed their bases with braziers and only way to get there is to have biles as high as they have, but you can't because you can't play that long.
That makes them impossible to kill and impossible to punish for their crimes (raids).
For more time in-game they earn impossible to destroy bases and impossible to kill characters, how is that game can be fun with those issue for most of the people?

I too find it sad, that no-lifes win because they put so much more work in their progress than the average person.
