I'd tell you, but I signed an NDA. Of course, with the number of beta keys sent out, one can guess at some of the problems....

It was pretty good. It's still on apparently. They closed some quests but the main lines are still open.

The game is pretty damn good.

The Crafting is so deep it's nuts. I finally figured out all of the systems. Armor and Weapons crafting (Armory, Clothing, and Wood [bows and shields]) have around 10 to the third power (Material [8-12 options}, Style [10-14 options], Trait [9 options]) that means that every armor, clothing, weapon, bow and shield type has over 1000 options for crafting. It's mind-boggling but also very easy to use.

The Food system is different for every region and each food and beverage has 2-3 ingredients. There are at least 100 different types of food apparently.

I've only touched on Alchemy and Enchanting but those to have hundreds if not thousands of options. There's at least 100 ingredient types for Alchemy.

The magic system is organic. You can build your own spell line up to 10 level improvements per spell. Each 2 option split per level added a different graphics action to the spell. that means up to something like 80-100 unique graphics actions per spell. There are at least 10 spells per race and other spells can be found in the world.

There's no perma-death but death does have a pretty big hit. Death means one degradation (decay/repair) level for everything you're wearing, using and holding. This means hundreds of silver in loses eventually. Death also means that you port back to the nearest 'Waystone' unless you have a soul gem (10s or so) which means you can start where you died. I never got to the full PvP area but rumor has it that it has some form of partial loot.

The game is extremely beautiful. It's by far the best graphics I've ever seen for an MMo of this size.

I tried all 3 beginning areas and got the 2nd and mainland faction area of one of them. Each one looked more beautiful than the last.

The only extremely mild critiques I have are the combat system and the respawn rate of the areas. Sometimes you'll be reading a book or collecting something and an enemy will spawn right near you. The combat system is good (especially the spell casting) but a little simplistic. There's blocking and about 5 attack moves per weapon (and there may be some added by Race and late game finds), spell casting is area tracking which means you aim for the area the enemy is at and it hits. They could narrow the spell field a bit.

Overall this game is a must try for crafter MMo lovers. It's crafting system is actually deeper than skyrim by a lot.

Chicken

I got knocked off every once in a while but it got better the deeper into the map levels I got. By the third map level I never got knocked off the server once or froze at all. I've got pretty good internet tho.

See how the patch works out with Salem.

Assuming the wipe occurs by month's end (or sooner)... gives me at least 30 days to judge Salem before I would need to pre-order to get in on early release with TES which begins Monday 3.31.14... as of last announcement.

About the only reason to buy the 'Imperial' version is the mount... Devs have already stated in the Open Question threads it can be used by all your characters (not just the Imperial toons); mounts are pricey: 12-55K gold. So is bank/backpack space. Trying to do all 3 is impractical. Something will have to give.

Tempting.

The most I got with any character was about 3000 gold in about 2 days of play.

Pre-order also allows you to start one week early in March instead of April 4th.

Well, I am definitely considering hard whether to buy it or not. I'm not completely sold. I just don't have the funds to drop on a single player game, but if it has good multiplayer (dungeoning, raiding) and fun PvP (not so imbalanced as to totally suck), it'll be worth the sub. Suppose if I get desperate and need to feed my game time, I could go do what other addicts do. :?
What, you thought I meant ***** myself out? Nooo.... just go sell some blood plasma.
