I can confirm this.

What? I don't even understand this thread. Is this a letter from the Ukrainian secret police to Biddas/Brego? How am I involved in this?

For what it's worth one of my best friends is married to a Ukrainian woman who's family still lives in Ukraine. They met when he taught English in the Ukraine and they both worked for an NGO that helped Chernobyl victims and worked against nuclear power and weapons. They are extremely active in the opposition movement from overseas here and are working the State department and American diplomatic machine to help people there. I talk to them almost daily about it and am keeping up with the situation in Ukraine and am helping them to fight the internet source blocking methods of the Ukrainian government. They flew her mother over here when it started to get out of hand but her brother and 75 year old father are at the protests still doing what they can.

My hopes are with the Ukrainian people and all people against police action and the suppression of progressive democracy.

You can watch the daily battles between the police and protesters live on these feeds. They occasionally get raided or shut down but come backup as soon as possible:

Wow Claeyt, have fun in prison. At least you will have company when your friend and his wife are also arrested.

Brego must have been in this scene pretty deep for them to be assed taking his laptop. If that's what actually happened, we might not see him again unless there's a change of government.

Life in Ukraine sucks for young people and they have few opportunities unless they are children of rich and influential parents. There are a lot out of a job and the capitol Kiev is full of people from all over Ukraine who go there because there's nothing for them in the other cities. Honestly, a lot of people are fed up with the situation and being unable to do anything about it is the worst feeling. So these demonstrations and barricades are just ***** awesome and also a great place to meet new people and get new friends. I'm sure that a lot of them really enjoy the **** out of this "war". It's basically like a musical festival, but with an element of danger and great purpose. And it's free - no entry tickets except risking your life a little. Sounds absurd and I guess it is absurd... But people do crazier **** for fun in Russian and Ukraine because life is so meaningless and ****** to so many. Look at this video:

These guys are Russian, but this is the kind of people that love this war the most...

He will need to be patient and not posting for more than a week for anyone with brains to get worried. Also if dark eats you no one will be speaking about it...

Shouldn't this be moved to the Civil War in Ukraine thread, so it can be with all of the other **** things the Ukrainian government is doing?
