Big Tree's

Postby joshnpk » Mon Dec 23, 2013 8:48 pm

As the title says, big tree's. The other day for what ever reason I felt the need to re-watch that live stream about witchcraft the devs did ages ago and I noticed how big the tree's where! It just made me think it would be cool if we had some bigger tree's as when Jorb was going through the forest on the broom it looked really immersive and atmospheric as a result of the extra canopy coverage. was just wondering if anyone else agree's?
I think I have a hat problem.

god no, there is already enough clutter on the screen. I play with trees turned off.

Those were cut down in size (by half twice if I recall correctly) because the players complained about not being able to find anything in the forest. However, we do have an item radar on the minimap now, so maybe this could be a good thing.

Yea back when there were no items on the map I would agree but like you said that isn't an issue any more. One of the things that really attracted me to this game was the immersion that could be had, but in the current state its quite hard to get immersed and I think that immersion is something that can bring a lot of fun to this game on a minute by minute bases which in my opinion is something this game needs.

alot more things need to be added and fixed for immersion before trees which most people turn off.

Since this is a tree discussion. I was wondering why myrtle oaks cannot be grown? They would make quite nice bushes in decorating towns etc, not to mention they are small containers aswell.

Anyways, if one wants cobwebs. You could just plant alot of trees, and leave the stumps and let them turn into hollow ones. That's less space then a myrtle oak anyway... and stump has 6 slots :D
