This game is hard as hell to find unless you are looking for it specifically or heard about it from a player. It’s not even listed on most permadeath boards or even Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permanent_death). A little marketing would go a big way for adding to populations. I’ve only been playing for a month so my opinions are that of someone playing less than a month.

My two big complaints with the game so far are the ruin-filled/raped landscape and lack to the “race to being uber/great/egomaniac/etc.” The landscape has too many places where players have quit, been killed, abandoned. It really kills the whole exploration angle when everywhere you go there is a ruin or crappy whittling bench. Also, some resources need a different mechanic (raped landscape). Is there a high purity mine even left to find or a virgin lime pit? The changes to game mechanics and the amount of time people have already invested create two classes of people. I usually like to power my way into a game but here there is no point. I think that “ego” element is gone, which is why power gamers game to begin with.

This would be an incredible game for competitive gaming. People would pay to enter the tournament. Run the tournament for 90 – 180 days, single character per account with a single PvP life. The last people standing or top three stats split a pool. Also there would be revenue for the game, which means more development and marketing, etc.

Welcome to Salem

If you're looking for a town to join contact my merchant alt Belethor on Roanoke by using his homestead secret "11% Water Source"

There are hundreds of high purity mines (30%+) and we still haven't seen any mines above 80% yet and there are plenty of lime pits available still. Purity iron is really only good for lockets anyways. The game was designed for 1200 players so there's plenty left, maybe not as much on Plymouth so come play on Roanoke. There is tons and tons of ego and fake ego still available in this game for you to craft.

Wikipedia updated: Permanent Death

It's still funny to see that Salem has a Wiki page and HnH doesn't after all these years. Maybe they have trouble typing because all that 2-D game play has destroyed their eyesight.

As the river rolled over the cliffs, my own laughing joy was drowned out by the roaring deluge of the water. The great cataract of Darwoth's Tears fell over and over endlessly.

" It is the spiritual heir of Seatribe's first MMO"
"Salem is to be free-to-play financed by selling game currency known as silver."
"free-for-all pvp"

That's great work, but I think "spiritual successor", "in-game currency" and "full pvp" would be better. At least spiritual successor and in-game currency have their own pages.

So fix it.
