Last time someone did it, we get a promised genocide on Jamestown. Let's see what will be happen this time.

And just to add something more off-top: 40 players max on server is not something MMO made for. People get tired from this eternal pre-alpha. And when some new interesting sand-box hardcore MMO will come from development, i think i'll just go to it. Like many others. Salem needs some changes.

In your Spirit Vision (Talking to Jorb or Loftar) you said that all characters would be nerfed. Nerfing ALL characters down a few hundred points doesn't make sense. That would mean that 90% of characters would be dead. Did you mean that all characters would get the same % of nerf to their humours? Do you mean an 800 stat guy would drop to 400 and a 50 stat guy would drop to 25?

Has the tribe taken advantage of this pre-info to their advantage? Are Loftar and Jorb holding back gluttony and humour nerf info from you so that the game isn't completely destroyed?

Sometimes even the top Police Detective will turn to a psychic every now and then for answers. In times of desperation one must take what he can get. Spirit Vision or not. There is no guarantee of a Nerf-Bat. However, if there is, my Vision showed me an EQUAL penalty to all players applied. Obviously players who are BELOW the level of humour penalty will simply be reset to 5/5/5/5. While your percentage concept seems "interesting" this isn't a welfare state where each player will "pay his share in relation to his efforts". Each player SHOULD pay his SHARE period. If that share is 100 Humours then all players should lose 100 humours. None of this percentage ***** which would simply hurt those who are more committed and invested more time by a greater impact than everybody else. My Vision was not completely clear on the exact penalty but only that it would be universally applied over all characters.

The Tribe always takes advantage of our Spirit Visions, we also do our best to share them. You should too. The Great & Greater Spirit may be holding back info from us just as a mother holds back that there is no Santa Claus. If they are, it is for our best interest, not against it.

I'd dare say all of us, who are arguing against his points, are talking to a wall. This is just like talking to the fools with no education in economics, or self-taught-sense, who believe in a "general percent taxation" that should apply to everyone. When in reality it is just massive hit towards those making far larger profits than the worker making 20,000 - 80,000 per year. Yet there may be hope to break through his thick-skull, yet I highly-doubt that.

Why not wipe the 3 servers, transfer all the character with a nerf or not into a new one(with a better mapgen), erase all in the inventories(no need to erase 5biles alts if you do that), etc. Honestly i think most players give a ***** about if they nerf or not, players CAN GET 400-500 BILES with the current system and without legacy ****, but the REAL problem is the lack of players and having 3 servers, really? why do we need 3 ***** servers? there is no pro in having 3 servers so there is a win-win in wipping all the current ones.

I never knew this game existed until someone who I played Evony with a couple of years back told me about it. This game is hard as hell to find unless you are looking for it specifically or heard about it from a player. It’s not even listed on most permadeath boards or even Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permanent_death). A little marketing would go a big way for adding to populations. I’ve only been playing for a month so my opinions are that of someone playing less than a month.

My two big complaints with the game so far are the ruin-filled/raped landscape and lack to the “race to being uber/great/egomaniac/etc.” The landscape has too many places where players have quit, been killed, abandoned. It really kills the whole exploration angle when everywhere you go there is a ruin or crappy whittling bench. Also, some resources need a different mechanic (raped landscape). Is there a high purity mine even left to find or a virgin lime pit? The changes to game mechanics and the amount of time people have already invested create two classes of people. I usually like to power my way into a game but here there is no point. I think that “ego” element is gone, which is why power gamers game to begin with.

This would be an incredible game for competitive gaming. People would pay to enter the tournament. Run the tournament for 90 – 180 days, single character per account with a single PvP life. The last people standing or top three stats split a pool. Also there would be revenue for the game, which means more development and marketing, etc.

People here only show negativity and anger whenever anyone tries to spread the word about Salem. Apparently they think that exposing new players to the game in its current state would be bad publicity. We'll just see how the upcoming changes turn out.

Yeah, if they do happen to do a wipe, or at the very least scale folks down, that would be a great time for folks to collectively spam their friends imo. Probably won't get any better than that for quite a long time and new, possibly better games will continue to be released in the interim.
