Agro hunting

How much silver can you make per hour?

If the Argo makes it up a tree do you give up and move on to the next one?

How many biles do you need without gear?

Do you all have custom made hunting grounds? Or do you just wander around?

Because Argo spawns are random the amount you make is very dependent on your luck, I have had several packs spawn nearly right on top of each other and I have given up after 5 hours of hunting without seeing a single one. Its also very dependent on your skill.

No. Just lead it to another tree.

At 100 you should not have too much trouble once you get a little practice, even if they get a couple of lucky hits. You should have at least some gear, even if it is just a basic hunting set.

Most people I've talked to just wander, but its not hard to clear a few patches of trees to make hunting a little easier.

As DarkNacht noted, the income is very variable, depending mainly on your luck spawning them. It also depends slightly on the speed at which you can dispatch them (i.e. do you need one, two, three or even more hits? due to the nature of fighting argo's a single hit can take a while).

No, you just walk out of its range, after which it will move to a tree closer than you. With some experience (and a tiny amount of skill) you can generally predict which tree it will go for, so you can intercept it.

Without any gear? 100 biles seems a good estimate. But seriously, get yourself some minor slots. Etterfangs are a very good choice, giving a lot of feral defense and a moderate amount of piercing power. Copper buttons give more defense as well, and really aren't hard to get. At 100 biles and a decent to well-slotted outfit you'll be able to two-hit argo's, while without any slots you will be needing up to 4 hits to kill one.

Personally, I find custom hunting grounds not to be worth it, or requiring a LOT of effort to create. When it is too small, it can take a lot of luck/time to actually get an argo spawn in its vicinity.

A note: it is never too early to start argo'ing, in my opinion. a 70-80 bile alt with a good set is able to hunt argo's, and is so much better to make silver than pretty much anything else.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

500-1000 silver / hour (depending naturally on your biles, luck and skill).
I think I get around 1500 silver (12 argos) in my occasional 2 hour hunt.

For your first fights I would suggest making a small pelter area, cut down a gap of trees, but not anything huge.. Then use that area for a practice area until you get a feel for the fight. Like Kand said, it takes some time to build a spot, then you "might" get spawns there. Once you have a feel for the fight, and can pull them without thinking " oh god oh god oh god!". Then you should be set to just go wander around and attack them wherever they are

Easiest is to just find a place in darkness where forest borders some biomes that's fairly low on trees, like grassland or oak savanna. Then just patrol the edge of forest and draw out any argos you find into the open area.

Ill make around 3500s /hour with a character that hits 45 +

Lets say atleast 1 full inventory per go and that takes less than 1 hour.

You can kill agropelters from 50+ however just play it safe and get a character with 100ish biles and make sure it hits more than 15 to 3 hit the agropelters.

Why the huge discrepancy between you two? Is Thor using a 100 bile while you use a 300 bile character?

Don't forget the cost of time/silver of oiled boards. It cuts your profits by 1/5th or more if you make them. 50s per oiled boards is cheap. Not worth it to price it at that.

Yes, but I am just pointing out you ''can'' make alot more than 500-1000/hour even with a 100ish char.
