Logging while lifting

Postby jmogler » Tue Sep 18, 2012 7:12 am

So I created my first anvil. Which took a tremendous amount of time and effort, which I lovingly placed outside. I then noticed it was liftable which is rather stupid since it would be impossible to perform such a feat in the real world, but oh well. So since I now determined it was stealable I decided to move it into my hovel so as not to attract the attention of scumbags and such. Well my client crashed while I was lifting it and upon logging back on I was no longer lifting it. In fact it was gone altogether. This is a horrible bug which needs to be remedied immediately. I spent a lot of time and money to aquire this anvil and am completely pissed that this happened. Two things, liftables should still be on your back upon logging out and back on, and anvils should not be liftable, these should be a permant structure like a house or a smelter or any other rediculously heavy item which CAN NOT be stolen.

You cant possibly be serious. Do you even know what an anvil is? Ever watch Wile E Coyote drop one off a cliff? Have you ever seen one in real life???? They weigh as much as a small hatchback. When was the last time you lifted one of those arround smartass?

You must be new to the world or something. i moved mine just the other day.

Making comparisons to cartoons is a good idea. Maybe you should try jumping off a cliff like they do in them.

Remember this is a video game as well, there is suppose to be that chance/risk of looters. With a lose basis of ideals from HnH which also had liftable anvils. But rather then being constructive and understanding this is a beta, and you usually don't get reimbursed for bugs, beta-testers are to report what and when happened to Devs can look over it and go, I can fix/repair this. So that it helps with game play and the development of the game. Which should be a reward in itself that you're making a game you enjoy better in that way.

And there are actually some anvils in real life that are manageable to be carried, their just very very heavy, but usually constructed to they are hollowed inside with support reinforced to take the pressure and heat, but able to be lifted and move short distances. Mechanics tend to use these more-so.
