Yes because the person who has never driven a car is the best reviewer and critic on the latest car model that is released.

I'm really upset with the fact that the project is abandoned.
I remember back in the closed beta when played 300 players on Plymouth. Now game is dying.
And the only reason that keeps me here it's only Crafting MMO with permadeath.
In July, when paradox refused further funding for the project developers have promised to develop the project and produce more tangible updates. But where this all? They still feed us breakfast and add not need crap. Very sad.

The project is not abandoned. Updates are coming soon™.
Just because you make ridiculous assumptions, does not mean that they are "facts."

Maybe you should actually read what the devs post?

The population has been dying since the game came out. I've seen many charts that people provided proving it, I don't think they were a hoax. It's so easy to get a large player base in closed beta by simply giving out beta keys and providing hype. However with all those people that got a key, more than half quit soon after. The game just isn't appealing to the general public because of it's overcomplicated systems which were intended to battle macroers, which only ended up killing gameplay. This is something that seatribe is known for, with H&H and all. That and the fact that not many people actually like rogue games such as these. The only reason I play this game is because there isn't really any other crafting MMOs that is actually worth the money that the developers ask for.

The only people that know about it are the ones that didn't quit the game.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. They created a niche game with certain people in mind. You obviously are not in that group so don't complain that the game isn't how you want it. The devs are set in their ways, your tears won't change that at all.

Your anger over not knowing about clients is blinding you. Learn to do some research into a game before jumping into it.

I really don't see any similarities with the analogy that you're trying to provide, it's like you're trying to say that I never played Salem or even another game before. I'm telling you that this game is dying because it lacks features and user friendliness and all you do is question my expertise in the game. Sorry but you have to provide a bit more than that so we can have an actual argument. I also don't get how my experience has anything to do with having a client rely on a mod. I'm asking for some improvements, not reworks, changes, or some sort of major overhaul. Improvements that appear to be relatively easy to implement.

I'm not complaining, beggars can't be choosers. I'm just stating the obvious, the reason why other crafting MMOs have a bigger player base than H&H and Salem combined. The only good thing about Salem is it's payment model, though I'm not sure if it's working because people don't stick around long enough to even use it. I'm not angry about mods, I'm just considerate of others.

Anyone who has even logged in to the game has stuck around long enough to use the "payment model," which is FREE. If you didn't have to pay to play, you took advantage of the "payment model."

If that's the only good thing about Salem, why do you play? There are plenty of other free games out there that don't require you to download anything.

Wurm Online is made out of java and costs $10.77 monthly, that's a awful lot for java based game that can't ensure anything I have will be saved. I've even heard that going inactive for 2 months will get your account deleted. Sorry, but I'm not going to invest into a game that can screw me over and leave me with nothing because I had better things to do for the last two months. It's a real shame though, because I really enjoyed this game.

The only game I'm considering currently if I'm required to pay will be Xsyon, but I'm already investing loads of money on my business so money is hard to come by.

So what else is there? I've been searching, there is really nothing out there that's a survival MMO crafting game which supports multiplayer besides these games, Salem, and Haven & Hearth. Terraria and Minecraft are a complete joke...
