Humour Restoration

How exactly does the humour restoration system work? Given that food restores your humours, does it also effect how fast it restores it and by how much per tick? As a new player, I need to literally idle because restoring my humour just takes way too long. If I level up my humours will they regenerate faster after eating?

Yes, leveling up your humours will speed the regeneration. Your humour max is the only thing affecting speed of regeneration. Combat and crime debuff halt the regeneration.
Characters with very high humours can even regenerate humours faster than they are spent when running.
