Was wondering why it was still such a ***** :D.
Thnx for the heads up.

Trojan rings a bell... was it the previous version? What clan/group where you in?

Maybe you remember nick Trojan from Salem and not from FO :P
I never played FOnline on competitive level. Mostly hanging out with people that were in Street Queerns(group of polish players helping nawbs in 2238 which consist of players from different gangs+loners) + random other guys I met in FO. In FO I always was a Loner. I doubt that I will join any gang in this session too(just playing to chill out, not to camp in TC with people screaming into my ear on TS) =) Although who knows.. might turn out differently this time.

Edit:

Wipe will happen 4.11.2013 at 18.00 Gmt+1.

I just realized that there's FO2 and Fonline Reloaded. Reloaded seems to have a higher player base. Anyone know the actual difference between them?

EDIT: http://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/index ... &topic=2.0

Looks like quite a lot changed!

Sweet stuff. If you guys played Fallout 1 and/or 2 as a kid, this will bring that sweet nostalgy!

Sounds like very other PVP game out there... if you get in early and commit... you are fine.

Otherwise you have to know someone who will protect you.

(Or if it's like Salem... you go where the population is ultra low and get along regardless)

How big is the map? That's always a huge factor... (take Rust as example).

Can somebody camp you for 15 hours so the next time you log on they kill you in this game? If not... I see why you like it Chiprel.

My pc power supply(power unit?) died at saturday(with sweet looking fireworks behind my pc =)). Because we had holidays in my country I wasn't able to repair it till tuesday. Still Iife is holding me away from pc. To those Salemites that I met already in FO. Sorry that I'm not able to help you atm. Should find some time to play tommorow.

I already mentioned that in one of my previous posts :p
To sum it up fast: Personal preferences.

You don't have to commit like in salem or start early. Actually starting earlier is harder than later. Some people will just give you gun or armor for nothing as its getting much easier to get one later on.
There ain't much levels to get (24 to get max ammount of perks and most of your hp). You can level up to 99 but each level above 24 will just grant you 1 hp(and some skill points). Might be good thing to do in real/long session if you are going to commit yourself to play in a 'gang'.
If/when you know FO you'll be able to go to level 30 easly with like 1-2h play time in a week. Starting out is always harder as you don't know where and how to get precious experience but that knowledge comes with time. Anyone who'll start fresh in FO surely will have to make few chars to make his 'perfect build'.
Map is tiny if you compare it to salem but it really is different game/engine so it's not a problem at all :p

Your char stays ingame for 2 or 3 mins after you 'logout'. ;)
Althrough there are some sucky design/engine flaws from which some may be even more dumb and fatal than salem ones but as it's not permadeath game: It doesn't matter and I don't really care.
More importantly: did you guys figure out already hoe maek fier? ;_;

Bump cause new/real(non-testing) session started.
Serv was wiped yesterday.

Saw 335 players online ~2h ago and player count is around 300 atm. Not sure how many people were on at peak time.

Feel free to start playing but don't count on my help now. Won't have time to play for at least 1 or 2 weeks more.

Cool, but I think I'll continue to play Salem instead.
