roanoke has a (slightly) higher population but it is a dead (stagnant) server compared to jamestown, half of the vendors have been abandoned for over a month and there is never anybody in town, the fact roanoke USED to have double jamestowns pop and that jamestown is now higher than roanoke on a frequent basis speaks to the difference in player retention between the two.

in fact i just did 2 cross server trades for people from roanoke getting started on jamestown.

now that i dropped 9 of my vendor stands jamestown also has a better economy with lots of dumpy newbie **** being stocked, there is typically 5 - 10 people standing around in town most times of the day bloviating (we still have barrel thieves!) and most importantly i killed off all of the raider groups and zergs (goonsquad, vigilances raider group, great axton, russian group "a", niceguys raider group, and shadowclan among others) that would of been harmful to the server early on in it's history so there are no big zergs of legacy players trying to "control" the server and annoy everyone meaning folks can play how they want and have their own localized conflicts without a group of 600 stat behemoths becoming involved and ruining it.

since i account for the lions share of "legacy" anything on JT (which is rightly so since the entire server got their purity seeds from the ones that i ground up to begin with when a few got stolen by the now dead axton zerg) and you really can not get more neutral on server politics than myself it creates an environment where everyone can get a good amount of power/influence but nobody can really get "to much".

at least not with the current factions and game mechanics, once loftar makes toadstools give 900 black bile per or something though who the ***** knows what will happen

i have sold 73 backpacks in the last 8 days, i seriously doubt that many have been sold on roanoke in the last 2 months.

i think you overestimate your viewership =P

and it isn't like i didn't offer to be amicable when i found out you were mostly about making videos. you could have lived next door to me and been mostly safe from outside threats. all i asked is you not build a bunch of fortifications and that you casually map your area every now and then (a much more interesting livestream than watching you sit in town all day) and send me the tiles afterward. you did neither.

so, yeah.

I gotta go with Darwoth on this one. I have seen the livestream and it is not much, even when Daopa was on his claim. I saw the braziers go up and thought "Oh sh*t. That's what will certainly pull down trouble. Not to mention Daopa seems to have trouble understanding how gluttony works. I saw someone in his chat tell him to reach out to DarkNacht but don't know if he has. And as for th livestream driving up player count. Sorry Claet, I surely would not be tempted to play based on what I see there. But then I am not 12.

This is not an attempt to get on Darwoth's good side. He would kill me if he had a reason, whether or not I though it was a valid one. And he doesn't owe me any favors, nor I him. It's certainly not peaceful co-existence on JT, nor is it all out terrorism all the time. The world is a big place and smart people keep their heads down and keep conflict in the family.

End Game Gluttony works by having T3 Fields, which take time to get up and running - Darwoth wiped that out in that location for me.

If you really think my Livestreaming hardcore of Salem for the past week or so didnt drive up any users, fine you can think that - I cant offer any numbers since this game has no buddy / affiliate program. But I can tell you alot of people have tried this game out due to my livestreaming of it ..

how do I know? They come to the chat room and say .. Hey I cant login, says connection refused... :o

Have you considered checking out abandoned bases? Maybe there are some places with T2 and T3 fields.

Or pay people to collect hay, like everyone.
Trust your enemies more than your friends. Your enemies will never betray you.
