UPDATE #2 (final update before we move over to the Colonial Charter forum): We are WAY ahead of schedule. We're all becoming so strong so fast that we've found the need to go ahead and expedite our planned town establishment. We've decided to establish our town officially Tomorrow (Saturday)! This is your last chance to join what will soon become a glorious empire rich with goods, well defended and with a friendly mature community. PM me tonight!
UPDATE: We now have a small, close-knit community that is growing in size and ability by the day. As we all learn and become stronger together, our ambitions become greater. Within 1 or 2 weeks we will have established a fully official town with significant defensive capabilities at a nearby, undisclosed prime location; and all requisite amenities (including any crafting machinery, food stores, inspirationals, etc.).

My wife and I started playing this game about 4 days ago. We have a house and a sizable plot of land, and some bare necessities. Our location is ideal, with a large lake, forest and badlands all within a 10-second walk.
Let's face it, though: we're n00bs. There is still a lot to learn , and still a lot to do. Our plot is largely undefended, undeveloped and (most importantly) uneven. We've only got a few hundred silver in the bank, and most of our new cash flow is spent expanding.
So I've decided to put out a general call to any others out there who would like to migrate to our neighbourhood. n00bs and more experienced players are all welcome, with only a few important caveats:
1) You must be willing to learn. Watch the Guide series by gamerzakh on youtube, read sevenless' guide, go on the wiki, etc. I've done all this and it's helped dramatically, so if you're a n00b and you want to join our fledgling community, you must be willing to do the same (no lazy louts).
2) DIG. Our community has been founded on badlands and forest. While this provides us with a significant resource advantage, there are hills everywhere! It all needs to be flattened out in order to build on. So if you join, grab a shovel and don't be afraid of a little manual labour (or hours and hours of it, more accurately).
3) Please be trustworthy. I am a trusting person by nature (not to sound effeminate: that's an honest self-evaluation). If I put my trust in you and invite you to the community, and you steal, murder or commit any other crimes, I will hunt you down. I will seek revenge on you if it consumes my entire purpose for playing the game from that point forward.
4) We're not looking to build a giant empire that eventually raids and pillages all innocent bystanders (a la MM over on Plymouth). Neither are we, however, building a mamby-pamby commune of peaceniks. We will defend our land. We will go to war. But they will be just wars and we will always be in the right. We will not seek out trouble, and will try to project a neutrality and a fair warning that we don't want any trouble, but will deal with any thrust upon us.
So PM me if you're interested and you fit the criteria. We'll chat for a while and if I deem you worthy you will receive an invite to what will soon become the greatest kingdom in the whole Jamestown area.
