I don't claim to be an expert, thus i am perfectly happy with my guide being here. If only my customers see it, it's fine. When I find that 50% mine and refine my methods I can probably claim to be good enough to post an "official" guide to prospecting. So far this is just a bonus leaflet to my wares.

As far as a prospecting guide goes: There's a way to use lime to aid with your checking that makes it very accurate. You're also relating alchemical values to purity linearly in some cases, but the relationship is rather exponential. I think it's easier to explain everything in terms of alchemical values, and then reveal the effects on purity/purity multipliers at the end.

I see no reason why this has to be buried in a trade post. Feel free to throw this up in the Help! section. It does clutter up your trade thread with a nicely written guide

Edit: I've refrained from writing anything more than necessary on this mining system because Jorb has agreed that it is only a placeholder at the moment.
