Hiya!
I played quite a bit of HnH and now Salem. I tend to be a recluse, hermiting by myself and trying to get everything done on my lonesome.
This time around I got quite far, house, iron mine, drying wood stacks and the whole shebang. Having built myself a nice Plank Fence, I thought I was quite safe, but my fence got breached today.
It seems some people create new characters and use the wilderness guide to teleport around a bit, trying to locate isolated places like mine and then bringing over more OP chars to do the actual deed.
Oh well, it was fun, but I've declaimed the place and left the door key in a chest. Whoever broke in, have fun!

That key is as much worth as a frog or any other random item, it's attuned to you, so unless you attuned it to him/she (very unlikely) it's not to any use.
And as stated out in other threads, if you already made up your mind to leave the place, why not post the location and server? so that other people can take him down
if they want to ofc.

I always thought they could replace the locks on the gates as long as they had the master key of the old locks in their inventory? But yeah, I hear your pain buddy. A fence, any kind of fence just isn't going to do it. 4 or 5 braziers on the other hand might have saved your place.

Its hard when you have invested so much time and effort into a project to see someone just trash it.
I hope it hasnt put you off all together.
There are quieter servers, and Roanoke seems to have a police force starting up, so maybe a change of servr?
Take all you have learned and hopefully your new base will be safer.
Im sure whichever server you end up on there will be people who will give you a helping hand.
