Congratulations MM Tribe, but stuff your treaty payment..

Postby Champie » Fri Mar 08, 2013 6:56 pm

EDIT:edited to change title from "Congratulations Plymouth Raiders..." to "Congratulations MM Tribe, but stuff your treaty payment.."
I'm happy to change the title to reflect the identity of the raiders, but I will happily continue to sleep with one eye open gripping my pillow tight.

To the raiders who hit the Autumnal lake/river area SW of Boston (Plymouth), congratulations!

You relieved me of 50 chests of items that were a burden to my life in Salem. I am really thankful that you took those 50 bars of iron, 1500 silver, a whispering snake skull, all the cloth, leather, oiled, dry and planed boards, hundreds of inspirationals, 5 sleds and a boat.

I have worried about this day for months, and now that it has happened, I am thankful. I look forward to starting again with more knowledge and more commitment to security.

I feel like losing everything is a right of passage in this game, and is to be expected. I look forward to the future of Salem!

No sarcasm, I really mean "well done and congratulations on good looting." I hope we encounter each other in the future.

As long as people have bases with chests full of items such as you listed here, Raiders will always be chancing their arm. Who can blame them when its as profitable as was apparent here.

Never make more than you can use and alt stash as Coelsie mentioned. A raided base that was full of loot has more chance to be raided again. That said...

I've been raided twice and both times I'm sure the combination of food used to gain entry and stats loss from Braziers would be greater than the sum total of what was taken.

I do have plenty alt vaulted, and I have 6 alts wandering the map and a few other claims. This was my main claim and I just got behind in managing my stuff. I had heard that several other claims had been raided in the area, and like a fool I went to bed hoping that I could sort out my mismanagement today. I laughed at myself when I logged in because I knew this was going to happen, I just got the timing wrong.

But I am happy to get the monkey off my back so that I can move to the next level of planning and design.
