Nothing news, what do you want then ?

I see this is broken as hell, however you need to be able to summon too.

Any alternative ?

No this is how I thought it worked. So it's working as they intended. I only asked him because people seemed very confused on why he was able to summon me. I've always been able to summon people like he is.

This is extremely broken because he can summon me from Roanoke anytime I'm there in hopes of my inventory dropping.

Because your homestead is within site of roanoake?

always has to be a party pooper, i was not trying to move mountains and call down the thunder. was just a random thing and kitkat being a good sport thought it funny enough to share.

in any case the objective was gear for a character on roanoke if i ever decide to play there more than the occasional ***** around, not a useless mask that would of helped me in no manner at all.

and.........

that is a 20k+ set of gear all day long even though it is lacking a few things on some pieces, much higher value than the mask, dont know why everyone thinks masks are so great anyway. i have 2 on jamestown and a jellyfish to make a third just from raiding, do not seem very rare to me.

Would trade equivalent set of that gear on Plymouth for a Cthulu mask.

summoning mechanics are fine, just expand your claim/fence far enough that you can not see the lean to's if it is an issue (shouldn't be really, other than me and a handful of the usual suspects i dont see many people climbing mountains and risking death to take a shot at ganking gear  and i have since moved along)

some points.......

1> the character summoning has to have the relevant black skills, not sure skill it is exactly but a newlt made alt can not summon on a hostile claim.

2> the summoning in its current form is required in order to verify which claimstones/lean to's a scent belongs to, if you could not attempt a summon from a distance you would not be able to verify targets with a test summon nor figure out what areas you need to attack in advance.

Screw the mask, nothing but spangle. What exactly are those missing slot wise?

Also, I'm not at all clear on how you summoned him outside the walls of Candy Island. I get that you didn't hit him and that he dropped his inventory on summoning, but how exactly did you get line of sight to his lean to? Are you saying that all you need to get is within visual overhead sight of his lean to regardless of walls? I thought you could only summon 10 hexes out or something like that? If you were able to summon him within the walls how did you then get the dropped clothes?

i did not summon him outside.

when you have a scent the person is summoned to the spot you clicked on. you need line of sight from their lean/claim to THAT spot. you used to be able to summon through walls ( my first dirtnap occured while learning that) 8 or so tiles around the lean to, that was fixed to require the above mentioned line of sight arrangement.

so if you can see their lean to you can summon them to it, you just can not summon them outside through their walls or other objects that block line of sight. i do this all the time to verify who my scents belong to and to scout out the best route to the lean to's i want to reach in advance.

edit: as for what is missing three pieces are missing lace and the hat has a broken slot, that is 4 copper buttons or 80 common combat defense, which is huge. also some items could be slotted slightly better for maximum bonuses like the etterfang on the cape being replaced with polished buttons. would also replace all etterfangs with grimthorns if i had thread and needle 400+

It's just a game no reason to get butt hurt over something. And to be honest you ***** owned me. I give credit out when its deserved. Also like Khaz said. I've already replaced most of that gear and made it better so you basically encouraged me to fix my gear and make it better. I should be thanking you really. I'll send you screens of some of my new stuff later on. I'm waiting on someone to log on and there's a very good chance I'll have a perfect musket hat on top of things.

Laces in some gear. Some of it could of been slotted better but I took easy routes instead of burning lots of artifices.

Yes you can summon from anywhere as long as the Leanto is in view. I've explained this more than once in this thread do you not read? Second my gear was in my inventory that's why it dropped to the ground in Roanoke.
