So, I am pretty new here still learning mechanics and how things can be done, or work around..

My question is this. Without the skills Trespassing, Waste can I or should I be able to trespass and destroy claimed property?

I ask that because on 2 random occasions I was able to walk onto their property (two different claims hours apart) and loot and destroy walls...I have no idea who they are or anything, I think I should not have been able to even knock the wall down? But rather I was not only able to but able to loot as well. Not once but twice..Any idea as to why?

It's probably a matter of a claim that has run out of authority.

No, all claims show, regardless of whether they have authority left or not.

So the only way to know for sure is I should not be able to demo a wall if it is active? Otherwise it just shows but is dead?

You can also tell by the fact that you can enter the claim without "bouncing off" on it.

Good to know it was not an accidental exploit or something odd then.

I always thought claims got a little darker red when out of silver.

Oh, don't forget you can also trespass on town claims, but not waste or murder.
