Homestead is MISSING?!

Postby SardonyxWolf » Fri May 30, 2014 9:39 pm

I was offline for a few days and I come back and my little homestead hut is gone? One of my baskets is missing so yeah someone has probably been there, but I was not aware that my homestead could disappear? I really don't know what to do. :?

Was it on a claim, and did said claim have money in it? If the answer to either is no, then someone came by and destroyed it

Edit: if were talking about a lean to, then it could have decayed, turn on tracking in the action menu, if there's clues, you got hit, if not then it was decay

if you dont repair it, it can decay too
or its destroyed

You can always make new leanto

Fail to pay rent... (claims can be paid for 2 months in advance)... then whomever ever found it decided you were gone and wiped it off the map.

Also- it helps if you don't 'pave' anything... most structures just need turned earth (kilns, Mine entrances, etc) not pavement to be built.

Watch turned earth... almost as bad as pavement... for mini map... turned earth will recover in time.

You're not helping here. This guy didn't have a claim and no one robbed him. He had a leanto for a homestead. And while it's possible it was destroyed by someone, it seems more likely he got hit by a couple unlucky decay ticks while he was gone and the leanto and basket poofed on their own.

Just remember that any time you have a leanto for a homestead, don't log out in Boston. If you lose your leanto, it's a long walk home. Or maybe a short one. I guess it depends how far away you live.
