Character wipe?

Why are my characters missing? I went away for a few months, just came back and NONE of them are showing in game, only on my account page.
what gives?

oh well, I'll never play this game again.
total waste of time and effort.
enjoy having all your work deleted at the expense of a whopping 75 players.
might explain why it died.

It was close to 400 peeps when the game relaunched... sucks you missed the rush.
