I made a mistake when chopping down a tree and the log fell into deep water. It's laying there I cannot get to it. Anyway to retrieve it? Will it dissapear after a while?

Don't think so, have you tried from a canoe? Also they can fall into your wall and can't be picked up and it's so crazy looking.

I had one fall into my wall. I didn't like the look and tore down that section of wall to retrieve log

I haven't tried a canoe. I'll try this as soon as I can build one

At least I've learned to be careful about the direction when chopping down trees.

Thats quite common, many people don't know that you can determine the fall location of the trees with chopping.
