Well I was looking for a mine close to my base. Found a few with a drowsing rod 8% pure mercury, but not really satisfied with their location. I then bought a 23% pure rod with a stat of 59 lead element. I searched for over a hour with no luck of finding a single mine with those rods. What gives? What am I doing wrong?


Can I find wells with rods or only wand?

The higher the purity gets the harder finding mines gets. Its a matter of luck, using Latikai's client could help you, it has a special prospecting function.

In my knowlegde you need a wand for that, however I never made a well before.

So you should find the most mines with 0 % purity?
Do the elements effect it?

a rod can find a mine with elemental values differing from its own by up to 10 iirc
