How does inspiration work?

Postby reper1210 » Wed Apr 02, 2014 4:17 am

I can see that i gain this over time and i see I need it for studying, but every time I try to level up my stats all my inspiration disappears so why is that? (49000 inspiration equals 3 tiny study items and a single point increase from 5 to 6?) also whats the deal with having tons of points in certain categories and then when I buy a skill everything resets back to 0 even when i didn't use those categories?

if you have like 500 in your proficiency and want to raise it, then use inspirationals which add up to 500. They should be much cheaper than using inspirationals which give you like 2000 in the proficiency. Therefore: always check the numbers.

Pro tip: use a calculator prior using inspirationals and add stuff up until you get to or slightly above the level of the proficiency you want to raise.
In feudalism, it's your count that votes...

W/o improving the Black Bile pool; you can improve you study rate to almost 1.0/s by getting the dedicated skills: Literacy, Formal Education, and Aristolegian Logic.

However; to make any headway...you have to build your Black biles...

IE~ I just hit 51 BB... I've an inspiration pool of 540K... less than some. The fine tuning comes later. My Inspiration rate is 1.8/s

Point is building your study skills helps a tiny bit, but your Black Bile total makes the most difference.

NOTE: If you get KO your pool goes to zero. Recommend you get all you studying out of the way before you attempt to hunt beaver or (esp) bear or more aggressive game.
