Hi, just wandering does increasing certain proficiencies increase your chance at finding stuff? I searched a bit couldn't see another topic on it.

Anyway i just increased F&W to 25 and saw some crabs soon after for the first time, does this apply to stuff life M&M for finding flint/granite also etc?

Pure coincidence. No, they don't increase chance of finding stuff, atleast as how much i found.

Crabs, frogs and all animals have a hit box, so they are the same for everyone. Everyone sees them. However, foragables are different, everyone can see some of them, but how many of the ones that are there that YOU can see depends on your skills. Using Wander increases your chances seeing of some forageables. Getting skills like Mushroom Hunting increases your chance of seeing mushrooms. Several other skills increase your chance of seeing certain things related to that skill. The skill description will tell you so if you read it.

Doesn`t Hunting and Gathering affects that too?

I'd say it only affects the maximum purity of the foregables you could find, but im not sure if that work for all items.
