Does drinking water actually do something? Just discovered that you when right clicking pots (and I assume this goes for buckets as well) you get the options drink and sip as well as empty.

As of yet, no.

if for some strange reason you messed up the concentration of tanning fluid in your tanning tub, you can use sip to add more precise amounts of water to it :P

Hi I'm new to the forums and this is my first post. I've been reading the forums for a while now but only now I have something meaningful to say.

Drink water is actually useful in controlling how much water you have in your container. My character is weak and therefore unable to kill a beaver let alone a deer
(if I didn't have beaver skinning) so I can't make tanning fluid from brains (obviously because I can't get brains). So to make leather what I do is boil 4 birch bark
in a clay pot. That creates 3L of 6% concentration tanning fluid. It takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to create 9L but the tanning tub requires 10L. What I do in this
instance (so I don't have to waste anymore time) is grab my clay pot fill it with water and drink until I have 1.something L and sip to get exactly 1L. Then put that
1L of pure water into the tanning tub for a 5.5% concentration tanning fluid.

Now my question is this, what if the tanning fluid had 10% concentration (I assume the maximum), would that speed up the process of turning limed hides into leather?

1) You could safely add 1.5l of water, this way you would have a 0.5l of 5% fluid left in the tub for the next time.
2) Fluid concentration should have no effect on tanning speed
3) That being said, I believe making leather this way is extremely inefficient, and the time wasted gathering and preparing bark would be better spent gaining humours to deal with beavers, since they don't really require that much.

You can use stomp while in a canoe. Go one square into the deep water and the beavers can't touch you.

If he can't even kill a beaver I doubt he has a canoe.
