Hi there.
I think i've readed all topics abut mining on this forum and whole wiki about mining, but i still can't find answer on my problem.
Everytime i'm prospecting i'm finding colorful spot instead of typical ore nodes. I've already found 3 places like this: http://pl.tinypic.com/r/11kxvmx/8
I also made footprint dirt around them and everytime when i'm trying to build a mine i have "Mines must be built on ore nodes".

You have found a water node. You can build a well on water nodes.

You will probably have to explore further in whichever direction you wish.

Continue prospecting until you find ore node -

If you are using the Ender or Latikai client, you can edit the radar.xml file to have ore and copper nodes displayed on the in-game radar. Check out these posts:
