First, we need to know what client you're using.

Second, doing a bit of quick digging says this is a security error, as in your computer is missing security protocols or blocking Java from accessing them. Has Java or any security software on your system updated or been updated in the last couple of days? I may be completely off base there.

Go to: Control Panel, Java, General tab click settings and "delete files" check all to delete all java cache. Ender client related stuff is in yourUSER/salem directory.
But as MagicManICT said it seems that your firewall/antivir is blocking java/ender client from connecting.
If it's still impossible for you to launch client I can post a way to bypass 'launcher' but that will make you unable to update client in case of patches. So still you should find a way to make it work properly ;)

Well, you can always update manually. It was a headache when we were getting updates every week or every other week, but right now, it wouldn't be too bad.

You can avoid deleting all Java apps at the same time if you have several installed. However, it is a few more steps. If you are curious and don't mind playing around (you can't really break anything in there, and if you do, you can just wipe the whole cache, anyway), click the "View..." button. You should be presented with a list of installed apps first. Just select Salem and click the delete button. Note: I'm stating this from memory as I don't have Java on my computer at the moment (new Windows install).

Also: in case it is a piece of software that is blocking the security on this, you can always turn off all security software temporarily and see if it runs. If so, immediately quit and turn them back on one at a time until it quits again.
