I have played for a few months, but have yet to discover what the two empty boxes are in my equipment list. The slot to the right of the keyring. And the slot to the right of the vest.
Am I missing some potential clothing? Are these there for future updates? Any help/ideas appreciated.

Top left arrow is for necklaces, or a neck slot. Currently this is the only option to my knowledge (and very expensive):

Right arrow is the armour slot. Currently it can be filled by the Plymouth Rock Armor piece, the Adventurer's Vest (purchased in the Salem Store), or the Priestly Stole.
Edit: Also, what you called a "vest" is actually the Chest slot for shirts, whereas the armor slot is more likely for current and future "vests"
