Stove

Not the positioning problem.

Problem: I've had a small house (Pilgrim's hovel) and built a stove there. Now I've built a bigger house (Farmer's house) and want another stove there too. But suddenly I can't find the option to build stove at all!

Unrelated question 1 - is simple stove the only available stove in game now? Or is there something better (longer burning time for example)
Unrelated question 2 - what are slots in stove for? So far i haven't found anything that could be placed into those slots.

P) I can still build the simple stove, skill requirements might have changed. Build>Buildings and Structures>Simple Stove.

1) Only stove of current
2) No clue, likely it's just implementation like making stuffed turkeys cooked in a stove that just hasn't been done yet. I'm assuming stuff like stuffed peppers will also be cooked in the stove, etc.

Hi, ive been trying to place a stove for the better part of two hours. Ive used every piece of advice on this forum ive been able to find to no avail.

its interesting, when im outside and try to place, the stoves is perfectly square with me avatar. yet inside it wont sqaure up, its either slightly diagonal to the left or the right. And like I said, using ctrl only makes it look centered. He still tries to place it slightly diagonally, its as though my house is slightly diagonal or something. Does housing have to be lined up perfectly east to west? Do i need to destroy the house and build a new one?

Can stoves not be placed in hovels?

They can. I have mine placed inside hovels.

jmogler, are you using shift with the ctrl button? also Is your new house's build sign older than the stove update? I have two houses because of that.

Try this: hold the stove on your cursor while inside. Hold shift and scroll with your mousewheel. It should be rotating now. Rotate it as you would place it. Now let go of shift and it should be perfectly squared again

Well, apparently the required skill for stove is simple cooking, not masonry or something in that line. So basically I was looking at wrong alt.

Really, i try that yesterday, quite long time actually, and result is that, you cant build that there. And i use control to ove it smoothly but i can get that to right place.
