Greetings all,
I have been wondering, during teleporting or logging in to your claim area is there any timer set on your character so they are invulnerable to attack / ganking?
Thanks

Have you ever heard of this type of a thing happening? IE A Claim being raided, the claim owner has no idea and logs in to check his stuff and upon loaded hes already dead?

I've done it to a few people, but it was them teleporting home from Boston while I sat on top of their claimstone / leanto.
Here is a video of CandyQueen, Yourgrandmother, and myself camping someones claim waiting for him to teleport home to his death.

yeah, you should be aware that you're visible at your teleport location as soon as you press the button, basically (more precisely, as soon as the server receives the button action). It doesn't take into account the time it takes you to load a 3D rendering of the world around you.
As a side-note, the minimap is always one of the first things to load. Also, ctrl+clicking the minimap will always send a move action regardless of the fact whether your 3D rendering is happening or not. It might help a bit if you see unknown red squares and want to move away so they can't (easily) hit you.

Has there been any comments by the DEVS to change this?
Another sandbox game that I play, has a 30 second invisible cloak for whenever you are "teleporting / loading into a instance" if you move that cloak goes away..

No, this is how it should be. There are ways to prevent this from happening. Guy didn't even have walls.

Getting ganked from a teleport / loading screen is not right - walls has nothing to do with it... I would call this a exploit!

Having a town claim prevents this. It can't be considered an exploit. As your biles are draining on the persons claim, and you need a waste claim to attack someones town claim which is a 24 hour warning. This game isn't for carebears, go back to your space sandbox game if you don't like the mechanics.
