Demek's newbie questions

Hello
Making my own thread since it seems I will have a lot of questions.
1)How do you actually put the money in the purse? Sold my first savage charm, but the leftover money is still clogging my inventory. Also split it and now can't merge it back, don't get how the interface works I guess.
2)Do alts share claims and homesteads?
3)Do you have to butcher the corpse at the site of the kill, or you can drag it to your homestead to have it done by an alt?

1) Left click the silver to pick it up, right click on the purse or other silver to stack it together.
2) Alts do not share homesteads. You can give alts permissions on your claim. Add your alt to your main's kin list, set your alt to a different color in your main's kin list, right click the claimstone and click that color, give permissions to that color. It's not recommended to give permissions to white kin (as this is the default kin color)
3) You can bring it back. Ad(v)enture->(L)ift. You will move slowly while carrying a large animal's corpse unless you have Big Game Hunting. Small animals (rabbits, snakes, crickets, turkeys) can be carried in inventory while killed, as an item.

Faithfully,

Alright, thanks guys.
4)Is there any reliable mapping software? Hard to decide on a spot without bigger picture.

It's not easy and there are no more public maps to access.

I believe this thread included the software for it.

This is not true at all. Plymouth has a complete map available to the non-criminal public.

Thanks again for replies.
5)Alts. What's the best way to go about it? Hunter/gatherer, craftsman, farmer/cook, keymaster, warrior, what else? Since game meats require big game hunting, should i put them on cook or hunter?

Here's how I did it:
- [Pretty much required] Alt in boston as a keymaster. Don't give him a homestead, possibly get him up to locksmithing so he can make copies himself.
- Farmer / processer / slotter: all profs high with a focus on S&C(planting), NatPhil (forestry) and H&N (planing), doesn't leave the compound. All biles high, pretty much: phlegm and bbile will need to be high and you might as well raise ybile and blood so he doesn't die in one hit if he ever gets ambushed.
- Forager / Hunter: highish F&W, highish M&M. High biles obviously: phlegm for running, ybile/blood for fighting and bbile for fear debuff/studying.
- A couple of worker alts that can help to bulk-process stuff (cutting boards, chopping logs or trees, processing produce like cotton or food, ...). Just raise em to medium (~50-100) phlegm so they don't have to eat every 5 seconds.
