I have been at it and WASTED OVER 10 TINDER DRILLS.

WHAT IS WRONG?

Your S&E is too low, just make sure you don't KO yourself with your tinder drills.

Tinder drills and Snakes are in the game just to troll you.
Make sure the tinder drill doesn't KO you.

Tinder drills are *****. Once you have a fire lit, I'd highly suggest keeping it fed (assuming you're using a fireplace and not a pile of wood) and then logging off with a lit torch equipped so you don't have to go through it every time!

make a torch, always keep it lit, refuel when necessary. Log out with it equipped and it will burn for eternity! if you need to unequip it first make a fireplace or a stove, they burn when fully fueled for approx, 2,5hrs, 24hrs respectively. right click the unlit torch on the fireplace/stove to light it again.
