Hi, i haven't posted on here before, but this got me a bit iffy. I guess you could call me a newb at this game. Infact, i'm pretty sure you can.

I have been building and grinding for a few weeks now, getting up my claim, tools, buildings and such. Doing nice, starting to feel a bit to safe. So this morning my overconfidence got a warning when i was doing some basic routine grinding. Someone spotted me and my claim. He literally caught me with my gates open actually. It startled me a bit because i had never met anyone in the wild before. Nothing happened though. He let me run back and close the gates. We talked a little and he seemed like a nice guy, and a few minutes later he left. An hour later i went offline, nothing special.

This evening i log on, and to my suprise i see a cupboard right before my gate. And that got me confused. Is there any meaning to this? Is it a gift? A warning? Is something expected of me now? How in earth did he get that there? I am not sure what to make of it really. It must have been the same person though.

You should ask him, those cupboards are quite the luxury gift.

He wants to kill you or
He wants to be friends.

Probably a gift. The worst possible scenario is that it was stolen from someone else and has criminal scents leading to it, but that seems fairly unlikely. If you're really paranoid then destroy it, otherwise enjoy the cupboard.

As long is it's not a giant wooden rabbit you should be fine. Who would bother planting a scented cupboard when an inventory item would be so much easier?

In anticipation for the 1 year anniversary of the birth of Salem's Lord and Savior (August 18th) Cupboards and other gifts have begun to be delivered to claims throughout. This is not unlike our X-mas Give-aways where we left signs as Santa Claus and delivered anvils and coal. You could be involved in this. Or it could be a coincidence.

I'm pretty sure it's not stolen, Nobody really lives close to me, and i can't imagine hime dragging that thing on his shoulders for an hour or so just for me. The clothes he was wearing alone were probably worth more then everything i have, so i doubt he wants to loot and kill me. Especially since he already had a chanche and remained peacefull. But for the sake of argument, let's say it's stolen, could i be sumoned and killed just for having it on my property whils't i didn't steal it? If so, i'm kicking it out for a week or two. He did ask me if have seen signs of Darwoth, who i have read about, and i also pointed him to some mercury water, I guess maybe he was thankfull for that.

I can't ask himself because i unkinned hime. I wasn't sure if kinship meant hime being able to walk on my property. I think not, but it's to late now. can anyone answer that please?

No, you cannot be summoned. The most that someone could do with the scents is track the cupboard.

People you have kinned can only walk on your property if you set permissions for their color at your claim stone, white is the default color that everyone is set to when you first kin them so never give permissions to white. If you don't ad permissions for a person the only thing that kinship does is allow them to talk to you and see when you are online.
