Hey i am new to the game and i showed my m8 the game as well and we would like to go to my base but that would take a very long time let alone the rivers in the way. I no you can do it because i watched some vids but i cant do that way for some reson i have set my home thingy and iv given him it just dont no what to do with it.

He can't spawn at your location if you just have a lean to, you need your homestead set to a claim. After that he should be able to spawn a new character to your base by telling the wilderness guide your homestead secret.

he won't be able to do this if he already used the wilderness guide for any kind of teleport, though.

So how do i claim my land and then how do i get him to me

You need to get Settling skill and buy a writ of homesteading in the NPC town for 150 silver. He'll have to make a new character to spawn at your claim, though.

Or you can try inviting him to party and have him walk over, but it can take a very long time, especially if he runs into lakes and mountains (which he likely will).

You can teleport to Boston with stuff in inventory if you're standing at your homestead (ie lean to in your case). You can see what you can sell in the stalls. Grinding crickets is possible even with starting humours but it's really slow, but Indian feathers and arrowheads (for making charms) aren't *that* rare.

There are some world maps, none complete though. Check the forum threads.
Two hours walking is nothing, the world is pretty big.

Make money by selling stuff to the npc (white stalls in Boston) or players. Check the trade forum to see what people want.
Usually new players sell Indian charms or hides to the npc, check tree stumps for free hides or a snake skull (if you are very lucky).

To see how much money you have put your mouse over your purse.
There currently is no way to trade other than in containers or on the ground.
There are only a few items you can sell to the white stalls but there are no game mechanic rules for trading with players.
