The wiki states that the purity levels of quarried stone and foraged minerals are capped by your mines and mountains proficiency; does this include lime dug out from lime pits, or does the lime fall under pots and pans with clay?

Lime is a type of stone so it should be M&M.

How high lvl do you need to find 10% lime?

It depends on the composition but probably at least 100.

Each level of M&M lets you get 1 higher in the alchemical value, 10% is 50 in it's highest property, you need 50 M&M to find 10% lime.

But every new character can chip 0% lime (25-25-25-25) with only 5 M&M. Also my character with only 21 M&M has found lime with a 32.xx alchemy value.

Perhaps maximum alchemy value is M&M level + 20. This would mean a new character with 5 M&M starts capped at 25, and the cap increases one per M&M level until it maxes out at 80.

The purity cap is not a linear increase, every prof level you gain the cap goes up but as you get to higher levels the increase becomes smaller and smaller.

it's not right /
with 50 skill mines you can't get 10% from respawn place /
checked on a granite 10% !
with 60 mines i did not got 10%
but when raise 85 i got)
Well/for good wandering people really lazy to raise skill mines to 105 and walk tons of areas/
that's why people can't find all colours 10% )
be hard workers!i spent maybe 2 weeks and i found best granite/but merc some low just 8% but value 45-46+
lime is more harder cause it's not like granite spawn/but some places have even 5-6% and not higher/but from my experience i think maybe need more skill!

I've found 48.xx granite with 65 M&M.
