Helpful Purity Guide Updated 8/31

Hello, I have recently noticed a lack of guides, or organized place for things purity. As such I put together this small, helpful guide for those struggling to find any answers about purity. I used to make and organize guides back in CB, so its been awhile!
Foraged Items
Most items found in the wild have a purity value, this value is capped by Hunting & Gathering for the most part, and is also apparently random from world nodes.
One item such as Grass may be 3% pure, but 5 tiles away Garlic may be 1%, with totally different alchemy values.
The only exception to this rule seems to be Water, which is totally random from what is understood. Water is mostly hit or miss, but is also based on a node, checking everything 15-20 tiles once you find something may be a good idea.
Pro tip: Most people consider water to be trash if it is alchemy rich in more than 1 alchemy. (e.g Salt: 41.65, Mercury: 38.98) and the other two would be very low.
Tree Information (Compliments to Darkside)
Trees foraged in the wild have no value what so ever, they are completely null, so searching for a purity tree is useless!
3 Known factors that determine purity
1. Planting in a pot with alchemies you desire
2. Filling that pot with humus with the alchemies you desire
3. Watering the pot with water containing the alchemy you desire
All three of those are factored in when determining the alchemy of the resulting sapling.
And then of course once you get purity saplings, wait until you can get cuttings from them and then repeat this cycle because now the alchemy of that initially planted sapling will also influence the result of the next sapling.
Pro tip: It takes around 56-60 Hours after a sapling has been planted to see if it yields a tree, or a dead stick!
Pro tip: Another week is required if you succeed in growing a sapling and planting it, for that sapling to become a tree.
Pro tip: Several professions determine the success rate of getting a sapling from a tree. (Natural Phlios) being on of them.
Crops
Crop purity may be one of the more complicated process, as it does involve trees and the information above.
Basis of crop purity is directly affected by the humus in which the field was PREPARED with.
For such high purity humus you will indeed need high purity trees to get boards from, to make the compost bins.
Once a bin has been made, it is tough to see or figure out the purity of the bin, but take into account that the boards it is made from play a heavy weight in the purity of the bin, as nails and plugs have no purity.
Example: Using 20% boards rich in Salt would not yield 20% pure humus in salt, it would how ever yield rich in salt tho. The exact percent of the humus has some other factors than just the purity of the boards as it turns out.
Feeding worms foraged items of the same alchemy value as the compost bin may be the answer to making more purified compost. (This is not confirmed by anyone yet).
But as of my test, here are the results.
Compost bin #1 (33% pure in Mercury: 56.31 roughly).
Added 1-3% pure foraged items rich in mercury (30-34.00) Merc value.
Humus produced (0% Mercury: 31.89)
This is only one test, but the results look something odd to say the least.
Starting the Grind Circle
Now you may wonder... How do I get all this?
Well follow the steps above for tree purity. Get Forestry skill, get a sapling.
Plant the sapling in the best clay pot you can make with the alchemy you want the tree to have, use water of the same alchemy as the pot, and humus. Having 0% humus is okay for trees to start out. Each time a tree goes up in purity, plant and get a new sapling. Make your first compost bin at or around 4% wood purity. Repeat as necessary.
The same thing can be said for almost any potted plant, as such a tree or garlic, or peppers. The pot, water, and humus play a roll in the purity.
As for field crops, the humus that the field is created with is about the only factor that gives purity seeds, and plants.
Pro tip: Planting good seeds in crappy humus gives crappy crops.
Pro tip: Planting bad seeds in low to medium quality humus will yield a slightly better seed or crop - this is the way to purity raising
Pro tip: Compost bins don't care what purity of junk you chunk in them to make the humus, it has very little weight in the final product.
Pro tip: Tier fields first, then work on purity of the said field. High quality ingredients, yields high quality boosts in humor statistics on the food.
Grinding Worm Purity
To go with and compliment purity compost bins you will also need to have worms pure in the same alchemy element as the compost bin.
For example: Say your compost bin is 8% pure in Salt, then you should also feed worms salt rich food to let them also gain salt alchemy.
* First you should dig or collect the null worms from your compost bin. Anytime a worm is dug or collected / created in a compost bin they are of null value. Alchemy of null value is as follows (25,25,25,25), in all alchemy's.
* You should designate a box, chest, urn or whatever you have as a worm grinding place.
* You should gather up any plant item and place the worm, and the plant side by side in the bin you have chosen. In about 12 hours the worm will eat the food and gain some purity from that food. If I recall its roughly 10%? Maybe less.
Finally, for more information on purity, and such, you can visit this mans thread, as he has some helpful information and add's some good points. The idea here is to combine and link good threads as I find them.
Maybe more to come, please feel free to correct me or have more added... This will continue as more information is found and organized.
