More Goddamn Questions on Summoning

Sorry for this question guys butI've read like 30 threads on tracking and summoning but can't find the answer to my questions.

How do you summon someone? Lets say I had evidence of murder, and I was at the perp's leanto, how do I summon him with it? I tried a bunch of combinations, right/left clicking on the leanto / scents etc. but for the life of me I couldn't do anything except drop the scents on the ground.

In this same vain, let's say you found summonable scents right next to a leanto and wanted to try them out, if they weren't connected would the only difference be that summoning wouldn't work or would a box pop up or something saying "Dude you got the wrong place?"

Just to make sure, an instant kill with a summoned player who was offline will not leave scents, but if they are online and in Boston and you summon them they can fight and if you kill them it would leave scents?

Thanks.

Left click the evidence so it is on your cursor. Right click the ground within LoS of the leanto.

Spam Right click. It doesn't always work. Try clicking 5-10 times. If you do not get a "Summon" radial option then you are at the wrong leanto and he moved leanto's since you were last there.

Right clicking the round near the leanto will yield no result if they are not tied to each other.

Thanks.

Summoning somebody and insta-killing them will leave a murder scent. There is no way to get that kill without leaving a scent yourself.

There is a way to cover a scent so it won't be found

Thanks for the help Chief. It is much appreciated.

So lets say someone is insta-killed, it leaves scents, if someone tracks it, how long do they get, I mean the more scents you have the longer you can track someone but this is only one crime right?

10 minutes from the point of the crime. However, it is possible to make a leanto 10 minutes in the direction of your claim, run back to collect a new 10 minutes scent, port to leanto, run 10 minutes in the direction of your claim, etc. etc. You can do this an infinite amount of times so theoretically anybody can be located with one scent by someone who is dedicated to Justice enough.

Let me take a side note here to say that your thoughts are taking you down a very dark path. A path that once traveled will change you, forever. Those scents will be out there and the lifespan of your character will become finite. I urge you to reach out to those who have traveled this path before you and ask them to carry you through these difficult times for once you open the door to crimes it shall not be closed.

Really easy actually, but if you know how to cover them than you should know how to find them once they are covered. Only the top players know these things.

And of course if you know how to cover them AND know how other people will find them when they are covered, then you most certainly know how to cover them so that they can't be found by those who know how to uncover the original covered ones.

Are you talking about putting an urn on it? Thats not very effective if they show up on the mini map.
