fish decay?

Yesterday I put some fish into baskets, today I have only filets. Do fish decay in this manner or did some jerk rob me?

Note to the thief: stealing the half fish I can half understand, but why on eart steal my grass and leave the hay?!?!

Can't speak for the thief, but I've been known to pull stuff like this just to screw with another player.

If you see something odd like that happen its almost always an older player screwing with a newer player.
I found a new players lean-to once and took the containers out of it and filled the with bear scraps and tree cutting and then put them back.

No as far as I know they don't decay - either a plot mate or someone else is messing with you.

I once found a basket next to a leanto with an arrowhead in it, i had a feather, i combine the two and left it for the new player.

One time I needed containers and they where off claim so I borrowed them. He never came to collect them...
Maybe I should have left a note, signs are too expensive.
