So..Whats this?

I left for about 4 months (personal issues). Played a lot in CB was getting the hang on things and you know...

Now I come back and whats the purity thing? I've looked around and tried to find some answers but I see a lot of tears and crying instead of asking the simple questions..

1. Crop purity is no longer plant 8-10 fields, replant best %? Its based on a trash can?

2. If question 1 is true, then this question is how do you get high purity trashcans, from low purity trees?

3. If the answer to 2 is plant trees in pots with high purity humas, then revert to question 1, how do you get high purity/quality trash cans without already having high quality wood.

4. I see a circle of a cycle that has no beginning nor end. You cant get high quality crops without high quality wood, cant get high quality wood without high quality humas, cant get humas without high quality wood?

So, were is one to start at with this new madness? I'm not whining but it sounds like those who may actually have stuck around and leeched the high quality humas before this update, and seeds may just be the supreme beings in this game for essentially forever...Since they did not have to deal with this unbreakable circle that I seem to have found..

So the basic question is there is no way of getting high purity crops/bins/trees through normal game play? You actually have to buy the stuff from someone?

There's a bit of randomness in purity of planted trees and crops, and stuff found in the wilderness has random low purity values. But mainly you'll need to alchemize stuff. Get matching clay, lime and granite and pressure cook them, then craft gardening pots and pressure cook those too before baking. Pressure cook your humus, your tree saplings and everything else that you can (you can't purify water). I'm saying just pressure cook because it's the only piece of alchemical equipment that doesn't require constant babysitting - just toss a single branch in a stove and check results in 1.5h.

So woah wait, now we have alchemy stuff that works? Where did I miss this LOL..

What your saying is I can change the chemical composition of things to suit what I want?

If so how does that affect purity?

You might have to check on it after an hour to keep from losing your stuff but at least a Conjunctive Retort wont blow your house up like a pressure cooker will.

This covers most of it:

Hmm, I see we do have a few pieces of equipment now that I browse the wiki...

Seems fairly complex, and now one needs to fully understand areas that were....dull before, and meant little to nothing.

In my very limited experience, up to somewhat unstable you only lose the item, and up to clearly unstable you can lose the cooker. I don't dare to go above that (I simply forgot about those test tubes).

Oh so it tells you what level of instability your going to hit or attempt? That makes much more sense then, least you know what you're doing before you do it..
