Not so magic mushrooms

Does anyone know if mushrooms require boiling prior to being placed and baked in a pie to avoid the debuff as well?

I've been trying to raise my blood and the last hour I spent doing fine alternating between corn cakes and pies but all of a sudden I started getting kicked out of gluttony and noticed the debuff was there. The odd thing is the first few pies didn't do this but now every pie does.

If this is a bug I will happily move the post there but I figured I'd ask here first

not a bug thats how it works, try farming sugar caps, less of a hassle than building a boiling farm

That only happens with witch's hats and waning toadstools (waxing toadstools are fine, the poison debuff from them is negligable), just don't use those. Or boil them in a copper pot.

Note also that windy poohs made with garlic clove and white/green or red cabbage makes for excellent blood food.

Yeah. I've been getting mostly phlegm and yellow from the Windys I've made so far though. I was trying to use the mushroom pies to help boost the initial blood but than this started happening. It's also happening for mushrooms other than witches hat and waning. Although I haven't tried the snow cap combo yet.

I have become surprisingly adept at using deer to help kill bears for Windy the Pooh though so there's that. :)

Only toadstools and witch's hats are poisonous to begin with and to get thrown out of gluttony with waxing toadstools you'd need to eat heaps of pies. 20 or 30 won't do it in my experience.

Yeah it was only 5 last night. I'll take another crack at it tonight and just document everything. The reason my gut said possible bug is that when it happens the humor bars revert back to normal but the fork remains and I can continue eating and getting gluttony info, it just doesn't do anything in terms of building points like normal. The first time I blew through a couple pies this way because I didn't realize it was happening.

I will make another batch with waxing and get some numbers on where it happens and then get your opinions on whether or not it could be a bug. Maybe it also has to do with my humor numbers to begin with?

It's percentage-based, so your absolute number doesn't matter.
To me it looks like you got a waning one mixed in.

Thats what happens anytime you lose 1 or point from any humour while glutting. Be careful you can mess your self up for a long time if you eat enough.

I thought that having the highest mushroom and foraging skills allowed you to identify wanings over waxing? I've always seen them on my map and avoided them. I'm guessing I should stay away from waxing and waning entirely for now. Maybe I'll have better luck with just snow caps
