Is there a secret to making stuffed turkey?

This is driving me insane. I have a plucked turkey, I have the gelatinous lard, I have several garlics, and I have a multitude of various plants. Yet I cannot seem to make a stuffed turkey. I keep getting told I don't have all the ingredients, which I DO, but every time I make a switch it keeps changing the requirements. If I put in six bell peppers, it won't count the garlics. If I put in six grass, a berry, and a mushroom, it will only count four of the grass, but if I put in five grass it won't count the berry, etc. etc. etc. Is there some special combination that I just have not hit upon yet? Or am I completely crazy? Or a little of both?

Get all the ingredients together 1 plucked turkey, 1 gelatinous Lard, 2 garlic bulbs, and 6 plants. Then go through the crafting tree to the stuffed turkey. You should be able to make it.
Sometimes when you add in a plant or bulb or whatever after you've already brought up the crafting menu for Stuffed Turkey it won't recognize any new ingredients added to your inventory. Have all the ingredients in your inventory before bringing it up. See if that works.

Put away garlics to some container.
Open crafting window for stuffed turkey.
Make sure you have all other ingredients in your bags.
Now take garlics.
Craft.
The cause of your problem is most likely the fact that garlic counts as "any plant". Observe which items, and how many, are highlighted in green when crafting window is open.

I need to make the unbaked version before I can make the baked

Garlic bulbs, is that where I'm going wrong? I've been trying to use cloves.

The secret to making stuffed turkey is to realize that it resets any purity the ingredients might have to 0, and noms up a precious lard that could go towards money to buy better ingredients. Stuffed turkey is overrated imo.

I can't tell you how much wild garlic I've planted and I have NEVER gotten any garlic bulbs. If the yield is that low, I'll forget about stuffed turkey.

Do you still have garlic cloves available?
If so, follow the wiki advice:
http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Sprouted_Garlic_CloveSprouted Garlic Cloves can be replanted for more garlic. Sprouted Garlic Cloves can be obtained by letting a regular Garlic Clove sit around somewhere for around 1-2 days.
Once a Regular Garlic Clove has sprouted it can no longer be used as a Regular Clove for recipes.
When planted will result in 1 Garlic without Horticulture, and 2 Garlics when you have the skill.
