I'm tring to unlock lore of the lumberjack or somthing like that do I can get whittling.
It he bars of the skill I need. Are full and the skill is white indicating I can buy it. I click buy and nothing happens! I even tried buying lower cost skills that I'm sure I have more then enough points for. But nothing works.

what's wrong? I'm using Enders client if that matters

If i understand you correctly you don't have enough points to buy the skill. Lore needs 700 Frontier and wilderness,you have to raise it first before buying the skill (by clicking the little + button next to the skill). Same goes with other skills.

If this is not the problem,try uploading a pic (with printscreen it's easy),it will be easier for someone to help you.

That is pretty odd. If the skill is white, it means you DO have the right level proficiencies and that the bars are filled. If you're still having the problem, would you try to get to the point where you were clicking 'buy' again and take a screen shot?

Maybe one bar is not totally ful, and you need one extra inspirationnal. Check all the proficiencies you need.

All bars that I need are filled. The button is white indicating. Can buy it. That frontier skill is at 700 I upgraded it before.
Only thing I can seem to think of is that "bar" for frontier is full but there are three differant colors of the bar. The bottom light blue is full, yellow middle is full but top dark blue is a little more then half full. I have no idea what all the separate colors mean.
I can't take a pic until later today sorry guys

Black Bile

Black Bile is an interesting stat. It is roughly equivalent to your "state of mind". Activities like studying inspirationals will lower it. This might seem small, but the speed of studying is directly proportional to the amount of BB you have left out of your total. So studying 1BB worth of inspirationals at 100BB will only drop you to 99% study rate, but with 10BB it's a 10% reduction in study speed. At low levels this means you're eating every minute or two and significantly hampers your ability to study effectively. BB is also used when placing structures. This can be quite draining in the case of long lines of fences, and some of the more costly buildings actually require a significant amount of BB to place (If I remember correctly, a windmill took 7.5bb to place).

In combat currently Deer and Bears are able to cast an ability that drains BB. Since hitting 0 in any of your stats is a KO, this obviously puts requirements for BB minimum levels in order to fight these creatures one on one. Furthermore, BB is the base value for raiders to use when committing crimes. All crime actions against a claim have BB costs, and claim defenses attack the BB stat of the intruders. This naturally means that raiders will not be combat weakened when dealing with claims, but they can get KOed quite easily if they make a mistake or get delayed while under fire from braziers.

have you tried eating something for your black bile?

What does black bile do? I did not know it affects your ability to GET the skills. I know my BB is almost empty though :/ how do I get it up? Sorry I'm really new. All the bars at the top I have no idea what they are.

Yeah I think in the default client that means you're still learning it. You have to wait till it has finished being learned and that top blue bar is also full. Your black bile governs how fast you learn and as it drains, you learn more and more slowly till you stop learning at all. Eat food to raise it up again. If you're wandering around boston, you can pick berries and grass to make berries on a straw. Or you can pick mushrooms. The waxing toadstools are poisonous now, but not too badly, you can still eat them and get BB and the poison will wear off. Also wild garlic and lilypad bulbs give a little bit of regen.

The proficiency bars will stop filling up if your black bile is close to 0. So you have to replenish it by eating some stuff.

The more black bile you have , the quickest your learning process will be.
