How do i return to boston while in a village?

My friend is in a village he is no longer part of, so he can't travel to boston and is traped inside, is there a way to get out?

He's trapped in a village he's not a part of anymore. That won't work.

He's going to have to get them to let him out. afaik, the only other way out is to die and wait 24 hours, hoping he doesn't get murdered in the interim. He'll end in Boston or at his homestead (if that homestead is not in the village).
