Just made my first canoe and I'm loving it. Question is... can you be attacked while in a canoe?

You can attack and be attacked in a canoe. Try running up to beavers and stomping--getting their attention. You will eventually learn what angles they can reach you at and which you they cant because the boat is in the way. Also, you can figure out which angles you can attack them at and which don't make contact. Stomp works pretty well while fighting wildlife in the water.

Be careful when fighting other players. I haven't tried it myself with a canoe, but i have attacked someones Boat and destroyed it leaving them to fall in the middle of a lake.

(unfortunately they just hopped into my boat and killed me... my fault for feeling the need to watch the raider drown.... i died of course /cry)
