so i smelted for the first time since the last patch... yeah more QQ coming. ive heard ppl complaning about losing purity so i was kinda expecting that.
anyways, so i did what i always do, 14 ore 11lime to get that 150% of a bar and to my surprise i got **** from my smelters . 2 of them had 14dross and no bars, the 3 smelter had 1 bar 11%purity (what i usually get) and another bar with 1%purity... wtf . is it normal to have 0 bars at all? or is this just a bug

That doesn't sound at all right I suggest a mod move this to the bugs and technicalities sub-forum, or you re-make the thread there yourself. Assuming you did everything right and didn't forget to add lime to the 2 smelters, this is clearly a bug. Unless Jorbtar have decided to also nerf .... dun dun dunnnnn .. MATH! Yes, that could also be it, they nerfed math so that 1.82 < 1.

hum im pretty sure i did everything right ore/lime wise, even if id forget lime i would still have the left overs from previous smelts, i always always smelt 150% so even without lime i would have at least one bar on those 2 right? i will do another round of smelting just to make sure those 2 arent cursed

14 ore and 11 lime would be 182% according to the wiki, so eventually if you keep smelting that you should get 1 bar and 82% -> 2 bars and 64% -> 2 bars and 46% -> 2 bars and 28% -> 2 bars and 10% -> + 14 ore (IF you forgot lime) would be 10% + 28% so no bars. One way to test if this is the case would be to put in enough metal for slightly over 62% (in case this was your 2nd or third pass through the entire loop, meaning you had less than 10% left over). So try with 8 ore and 7 lime or something, and if that yields one bar then you might have forgotten the lime.

Edit : Alternatively if somehow your smelter just added up the % to the left over bars, bumping it up to over 200% , it'd be funny to see you get 2-3 bars out of 72% of a bar xD
