I did read somewhere they got a ninja nerf not a long ago. Does it still requires 45 dmg in stomp + hit combo to kill it?

They have 45hp. They take damage from a stomp but they are not stunned. (unless that changed since last patch)
On that note, snakes have been ninja nerfed from 7.5hp to 5hp. Just throwing that out there.
